Small mom and pop bakery that started from pop-ups, we also make custom cakes. Recently opened our brick and mortar earlier this year on Rice Street and invested a lot to make it happen.
Lost vacation rental cleaning work due to hurricane.
As many on the island of Kaua'i, we got hit pretty hard by Hurricane Lowell, and our home got torn to pieces. We have been staying in friends houses and hope to be able to buy a yurt to turn it into our home where we store all our business goods.
Aloha, my name is Sara, and I own Koloa Thai Bistro on Kauaʻi. Our restaurant depends on visitors, but we currently have no customers and do not have enough income to cover payroll, rent, and other essential operating expenses. Our employees’ jobs are at risk. This loss of income also affects my family. My mother, my child, and my husband depend on me financially, and I am struggling to cover our mortgage and household expenses. Your donation would help us pay employee wages, rent, and essential restaurant bills so we can keep our doors open and preserve our employees’ jobs. Any amount would mean so much to us. Mahalo for your kindness and support.
Our family is asking for help after Hurricane Lowell damaged our home and affected our ability to support ourselves. We lost our roof during the hurricane. Donations will help us pay for necessary repairs or replacement of the roof and restore a safe place for our family to live. The storm also affected our family-owned food truck, Pineapple Express Kauai. Several catering jobs were canceled, and the disruption has made it more difficult for us to cover essential household expenses while addressing the damage to our home.
We are a small 2 person locally owned and operated concierge carshare business located on the Northshore of Kauai. We have a small fleet of 10 newer well-appointed vehicles that we deliver from Hanalei to Lihue Airport and cater to both locals and tourists. We pride ourselves in providing clean, reliable, well maintained vehicles that are highly sought after with a personal touch and the spirit of aloha. Our consistent 5-star reviews speak for themselves! After hurricane Lowell, our business revenue dropped 58% from August to September and is currently at an all time low for October due to cancellations & reduced island visitation. This business is our primary source of income (aside from my husband's social security). We miss serving our guests & look forward to more of you visiting soon!
